The Liver is the largest organ in our body. Its primary functions are to refine and detoxify everything we eat, breathe, and absorb through our skin. It is our body's internal chemical processing plant, converting nutrients in the food we eat into muscles, energy, hormones, clotting factors, and immune factors. More importantly, our liver neutralizes and destroys poisonous substances that enter our body, helps us resist infection, and removes bacteria from the blood stream. It is therefore important to keep our liver healthy to perform its tasks efficiently.
